tl_files/images/ui/initiale.gif The new SMic 133 multimedia conference station from Brähler Systems has been awarded the Red Dot Product Design Award 2018 for its high design quality. The Design Award is an internationally recognized competition whose award, the Red Dot, is widely appreciated as a seal of quality for high design quality and innovation.

The international jury of 39 recognized experts awarded the coveted seal of approval in a competition with more than 6,300 entries from companies and designers from 59 nations. The SMic133 desktop multimedia unit, a high-class and modern conference unit with a touch screen display and the Delgate app from brählerOS, won great approval with its outstanding product design. "When we talk about good design, I don't just mean the beautiful appearance of the products. All of them are also characterized by outstanding functionality. This proves that the designers have understood their customers and their needs," says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the Red Dot Award.

The 13.3" display provides conference participants with the best view of what is important – essential information with a generous view. The Delegate app from brählerOS is easy to use, intuitive, self-explanatory and meets the customer's expectations. These are the indispensable prerequisites for making conference content available to a wide variety of user groups in the best possible way. When in operation, the SMic133 provides conference participants with updatable information about conference activities. You can navigate and select between agenda items, conference documents, film and photo material, participant lists, contact information and much more.

The display housing of the multimedia unit is milled from a single aluminium block and features an elegant and timeless design. The device has a language selector, as well as voting and identification functions.

The winning products will be presented for one year at the Red Dot Museum in Essen, the largest museum for contemporary design, at the UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein. The origin of the Red Dot Award goes back to 1954. Today it is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions worldwide. The official award ceremony will take place on 9 July 2018 at the Aalto Theatre in Essen in front of more than 1,200 international guests, followed by the legendary Designers' Night at the Red Dot Design Museum.
