INFRACOM Simultaneous Interpretation System
In this system the interpreter is located in a soundproof interpreter booth and translates the original sound from the conference room via an interpreter console. The participants sitting in the conference room receive the audio transmission on up to 32 channels via our wireless simultaneous interpretation system. The latter boasts interference-free infrared reception even under sunlight or extremely bright artificial light.
The outstanding feature of the INFRACOM systems is its wireless transmission of audio signals using infrared light. This provides the best conditions for flexible, highly mobile, tap-proof solutions.
The microphone signal (or any other audio signal: tape, telephone, video conference, etc.) is input into the transmitter or the central control unit either directly from a conference discussion system such as DIGIMIC or via the outputs of a mixing desk. In the central control unit or transmitter the signals are pre-processed to give the best voice comprehension. The language channels are transmitted by the transmitter (e.g. an 8-channel MSI8D compact transmitter) to the infrared emitters via coaxial cables. The number of emitters needed for a room depends on the geometry of the room and the number of languages.
All the participants are given their own INFRACOM receivers with up to 32 channels. To cater for peak demands, your own supply of infrared receivers can be supplemented by stocking up with hire units from our global rental service network.
