INFRACOM Simultaneous Interpretation System

IRX12 - Receiver

Description

The IRX12 Receiver has been designed to receive up to 12 channels within the standard frequency band. The use of a PLL-synthesizer (phase-locked-loop) guarantees high quality transmission and also high operation reliability. This generation of INFRACOM receivers allows the use even under direct solar radiation where normally the reception would not be possible due to overly brightness.

The receiver is equipped with a 4 key control pad for volume and channel control. Volume level and channel number are displayed on a back lighted LC-Display which also shows the system status or the system adjustments, i. e. the battery voltage, the IR field intensity and the shift operation mode. After removing the receiver out of the infrared field or after disconnecting the headphones out of its jacket the receiver is switching automatically into the stand-by mode. So it is also guaranteed that the receiver is working energy-saving. Beside this the receivers have an indicator for charging control. All receivers manufactured from series in 2008 have a band switch to be used in Band II (55kHz - 1 MHz) or in Band IV (2 - 6 MHz).

The ergonomic housing has an integrated fixing clip. The receiver can be upgraded optionally with an INFRACOM Guard Module which offers together with the CIX1 Guard Controller an efficient protection against loss. The receiver complies with international standards IEC914, IEC61603-3 (standard operation), and IEC61603-7 (extended operation = Band IV).
