HLN82B - High Power Radiator
Description
The HLN82B belongs to the latest generation of infrared high power radiators of the INFRACOM product family. Up to 31 channels can be transmitted simultaneously in FM quality on different frequencies.
The HLN82B only weighs 2.5 kg. So it is the perfect radiator for portable use. The transmission output of 20 watts makes it particularly suitable for use in large rooms and halls.s
The left-hand side of the table below shows the respective areas which the HLN82B is able to reliably illuminate under optimum conditions (depending on the number of channels used for transmission). The right-hand side of the table shows the range of one or two radiators positioned next to one another (also depending on the number of channels used for transmission). All these values are based on a reception quality with a signal-to-noise ration of >40dB, i.e. without any audible interference.

These values apply in the absence of any amplification effect, such as reflections from light-coloured walls and ceilings, which might allow for reducing the number of radiators required even further. Power supply is provided by an integrated power supply unit which is automatically switched on by a high frequency sensor (connected via a BNC socket). LED’s situated on the radiator’s front panel indicate the presence of a mains voltage as well as the operating modes 50%/100% power, thus permitting operating mode control even from a considerable distance.
Transmitter and high-power radiator are connected by means of a coaxial cable with BNC plugs, which allows connection of up to 20 radiators in one single daisy chain. The HLN82B high-power radiator requires no cooling fan; heat exchange is secured by natural convective cooling, thus guaranteeing totally silent continuous operation. The cabinet is in black plastic and can be supplied in other colours on request.
The radiator is supplied with a swivel bracket for wall-, tripod- or ceiling-mounting (see accessories).
