Description
The EWD216 is a high quality digital 16 channel language selector for simultaneous interpretation systems. Thanks to its very compact design it fits into nearly all sorts of tables and even into armrests. It is connected via standard CAT5-cable to the Central Unit CLD216 or Digital Distribution Amplifier RSP8 for bigger systems. The transmitted DAM-signal (Digital Audio Multiplex) is converted into an analog signal that can be monitored at the headphone socket. With tip-tap push-buttons, volume and channels can be selected easily and quickly. The active channel is displayed on a high contrast backlit LC Display with very good visibililty also under lower viewing angles. The big character size allows the user even over greater viewing distances to clearly read the digits. In addition each channel selector is equipped with a self-diagnostic circuitry that shows an error message on the display when the signal transmission is being disturbed or interrupted.
