Items on the event programme included a keynote speech by Executive Director Michael Brähler and member of the Management Board Hans Friis which briefly reviewed the past 50 years. Prof. Sylvia Kalina and Prof. Barbara Ahrens from the University of Applied Sciences Cologne gave an interesting presentation about the future of interpreting. Supervisory Board Chairwoman Ms Erika Brähler honoured the achievements of company founder Helmut Brähler. For him were trust, respect, fairness and reliability a basis of human interaction in business life. This is particularly true for a company in the service sector, whose goal is to the human encounters to facilitate communication through technology or make it even possible.
Of course the Brähler technique was used during the meeting. The undisputed highlight of the event was the in-house presentation of a pioneering innovation, the DIGIMIC digital conference system, which even in the analogue past as first computer controlled discussion system had set the standards in its class.
The new DIGIMIC system featuring state-of-the-art technology and an innovative concept will be presented to the public for the first time at the “Integrated Systems Europe (ISE)” trade fair in Amsterdam from 3 to 5 February 2009.
At the conclusion of a festive meal in the restaurant of the Bundeskunsthalle the CEO of the Board thanked all the employees, who have contributed to the growth and success of the company over the years.
